Cory relaxing on the hammock. I didn't even attempt to try and climb on it!

There was a Jamaican guy named Nick, who carves various things out of wood. We won the tall tree thing because Cory answered a question correct during our orientation. Then Nick carved our names on it for us. He then went a bit crazy with his glue pen because he also wrote: "Happy 10 th Annivesary!! (not a typo--that's--how he spelled it)
Sandals Negril, Jamaica 2007 One heart One love Together Forever
Yah Man"

This is King Shango! He is a Jamaican--no affilitation with Sandals--He drives his boat super close to the buoys where people swim and he tries to get people to go on a fishing trip with him. There was another guy also that kept coming around. If I had my choice, I'd go with King Shango because the other guy kept bailing water out of his boat with an empty milk carton!

This is Cory and me one morning after breakfast. We took our picture on this gazebo that looked over the ocean. This is where Sandals holds all of their weddings. We saw three weddings down there just in the five days that we were there! It was really pretty.

Here is a picture of our room. I loved it so much. We had a flat screen tv, four poster king sized bed, a balcony that overlooked the beach and a ceramic tiled floor. I asked Cory if I could redecorate our bedroom to look like this--tile floor and all--but he said NO!

We weren't at the beach for twenty minutes on Saturday when someone offered Cory some weed. Cory, obviously, told him no and that we didn't smoke. The Jamaican drug dealer had a hard time believing us. His name was Dr. Cool and he owned a little shop at the end of our resort. Then there was a lady who would walk the beach everyday and ask me if I wanted my hair braided. I nicely told her no everyday. Then there were some guys with jet skis that wanted to take you for a ride on their jet ski. In our hotel room, there was a letter from the management of Sandals to not go anywhere with these people because they are of no affiliation with Sandals. I really didn't need a letter to clue me in on that one!

Our resort was an hour and a half from the airport so we had to ride a shuttle. That was interesting. You really go to see a lot of rural Jamaica. Jamaicans don't have cats and dogs for pets--they have goats. I counted so many goats tied to trees that it wasn't even funny. We saw georgus huge castle like homes that sat up on the hillside. Then we saw a lot of shacks that couldn't be larger than my mom and dad's shed. That made me kind of sad. Everyone hangs their clothes outside to dry--those little houses and the big houses--everyone had clothes on the line! Jamaicans drive on the left side of the road. That was CRAZY! I kept thinking we were going to wreck! Our driver drove so fast and so close to the cars in front of him. I was all for getting to the airport quickly, but I didn't want to ram into the corolla in front of us either!

I must have told Cory a hundred times while we were there I was so happy he planned this trip for us! I would have probably never agreed to go because it was so far away, so I am so happy he booked it on his own. We had such a great time. He is a sweetheart!
