At this present moment, while I am blogging, I am watching my darling son, Jeremiah hold a piece of brocolli on his fork. He has had this same piece of brocolli on his fork for the last hour and a half. Can you believe that? He doesn't like brocolli and for that reason, I only make him eat one piece when I cook it. He is in a stubborn mood where he just won't eat this one piece of brocolli. So I am not letting him get up from the table until he eats it. Am I a mean and nasty mom? Jeremiah probably thinks so, but I am proving a point. Maybe he will eat it by the time I finish this post.

Jordan is back to W&J safe and sound. The last time I talked to him, he was preparing to take a nap. I guess he had an extremely strenous day riding in the car and watching his Grandmother make his bed.

Now Jermiah is counting down: 3 - 2 - 1 in order to try and eat his brocolli. And now he is taking deep breaths.

This is a picture from the Martin Luther King banquet. I'm not crazy about myself in this picture, but Isaiah looks cute, so I posted it.

Praise God! Jeremiah just ate his brocolli and he wants you all to know!

I love this post. The sarcasm amuses me.
The one and only time I tried to make Brandi and Chris eat one brussel sprout, they sat at the kitchen table until it was time to go to bed. They never did eat it, nor has either one ever tried it again. It looks like you won this battle, good luck with the war!!!!!
aunt margie, thanks...
but the older i get, the less and less patience i have to battle. he just really made me mad tonight.
jamie...you like sarcasm? get out. :-) lol
I love broccoli! Good for you for making him eat at least one piece. It's funny that he's so dramatic about it.
This is the very reason I HATE black-eyed peas; Aunt Gertie made me sit at the table until I ate them. She finally had to let me go because I outgrew the chair.......Most times the kids win the battle.
You need a dog. Kid gives dog broccoli when you are not looking. You think he ate it and broccoli is gone. Win Win for both mother and son. I did'nt have a dog either when I was a kid.
Don't even get me started on why you should not get a dog! The list is too long, and broccoli isn't even on it. :)
jebby....thanks for your advice but we are absolutley positively not getting a dog.
(Kristen, I sympathesize with you and that dumb dog)
