Cory and I started our vacation a few days early. We drove down to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. We have never been this south before and I really wanted to see it. We played on the beach a little bit, toured a Maritime museum, and climbed the Hatteras Lighthouse. The Hatteras Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in the United States. There were 257 steps. We were a little bit unsure, but we all made it to the top. The view from the top was worth every single one of those 257 steps. The view was absolutley breathtaking. God created such a beautiful world and I am so thankful we got a chance to see things today that we have never seen before. We really enjoyed our day together.

These are some pictures from the day. We do not know who the guy surfing is, but it is a great action shot that Cory managed to get.
