I am having trouble finding time to blog. This makes me sad because I love going back and reading things about the kids. I am going to try and find time to do better.

We've been busy.
Here's the highlights!

Cory.
Cory is working on his masters in Counseling while still working full time at the power plant. He's doing great. He will be done next spring and he has a 3.77 cumulative GPA. I am so proud of him. It really takes a lot of time, determination and dedication to work full time, go to school and still raise a family. I cannot wait until he gets done. We are praying for God to open up a door and help him to find a job as a high school counselor. It is just truly amazing how everything has worked out up to this point. We have faith that God is going to work the rest out for us.

Jordan.
Jordan is home and back to work at Walmart. He has one more semester and then he will be done. He will be so happy to be done and have his degree in January.

Isaiah.
Isaiah has kept us the most busy these past few months. He was in the school musical, played on the high school varsity and junior varsity basketball team, played AAU basketball and now he is playing colts for Beaver Falls. He takes us all over the place. I am so proud of him though because he has juggled all of this stuff and been able to keep a 4.0 this entire school year. He was honored at a banquet at his school this past week. I keep telling him that if he can keep those grades up like that, he is going to have so many opportunities for college.

This was our first experience with AAU basketball this year. The games are all tournaments, which means it pretty much takes up your whole entire weekend. I have seen some amazing things in my lifetime, but nothing as amazing as AAU parents. It is absolutely ridiculous how some of these parents behave at these games. Apparently EVERYONE's son is on his way to the NBA! I get more entertainment watching these parents carry on that watching tv at night! Last week, we had a brawl! It was a bench clearning; parent fighting brawl! Two boys got into a little scuffle on the court. The parent of the boy on the opposing team, ran onto the court and HIT one of our players. Can you belive that?! A grown man hit a 15 year old kid, which prompted our coach to hit the parent, which prompted the opposing coach to hit our coach. This led to me holding back some of our players...which by they way are way bigger than me...from getting into more fights. It was CRAZY. Only upside of the brawl was that we were kicked out of the tournament, which consequently freed up my Memorial Day weekend! lol

Jeremiah.
Jeremiah is doing great. He is getting really good on his trumpet. We got to go to his concert last week. He played the trumpet and the African drums. He also had a solo in his chorus concert. Football will be starting for him soon, so he is just trying to enjoy his last few months of freedom.

Corynne.
Corynne just finished up soccer. She did very well. I can't believe she is now 8 years old. Time is flying by! I feel like I just gave birth to her and now she is on her way to third grade! She is so sweet. She is still my little partner. Everywhere I go, she is right by my side. I cherish these moments and hope for many more years like this!

Me.
I'm doing good. I am just really looking forward to this school year ending. We had a challenging year. From what they tell me, we can look forward to more years like this. Yay! (sarcastically) As always, I spent a lot of time praying this year. God got me through! We are down to about 7 more days. I am encouaged because I know we can make it now! The weather has been an added distraction for our students, as my classroom as been anywhere between 85-90 degrees! The heat doesn't bother me much, but it is a challenge to do anything constructive with very hot and agitated 11 year olds.

I am excited because my friends and I are going to Miami for three days at the end of June. I debated back and forth and back and forth about whether or not to go. Cory, being the sweetie that he is, kind of made of my mind for me when he bought my airline tickets! I just always get nervous leaving my kids. We leave Monday morning and I will be back Thursday before lunch. I am kind of excited to see Miami beach and hopefully just get to relax on the beach.

We have been busy working on our house. The basement is pretty much done. We just have to furnish it and carpet it. We decided to wait just a little bit longer to get the carpet. Now that it is summer, we won't be in the house too much, so we thought we better focus on the outside of our house for just a bit. We plan on having the room furnished and useable by the fall. It is really beautiful down there. I want to make sure we pick just the right carpet and furniture to really add to it's beauty.

So, we've been busy. But it is a good busy. I am having a blast!
