Beleive it or not, but I've actually been too busy to blog. But here's what's been going on at our house:
1. Isaiah had a basketball game Friday night. We lost. But he played well. He had 6 points and he played awesome defense. He took a lot of shots that didn't fall for him, but he did a good job. This one lady asked me if I was Jordan's mom AND Isaiah's mom. I said yes. And then I got the usual, "You don't look old enough to have a son Jordan's age." So I replied with my usual, "Yeah, I was young when I had him." That usually shuts people up. But not this lady. She wanted to know how old I was when I had him. That irritates me. If I am not volunteering info., then shut up about it. I need to get some new comebacks when people say that to me. Any suggestions, please post them. (Be nice Unka Mike)
2. I had inservice tonight and I got to work in my room and talk to my friends ALL DAY LONG! It was so so so so nice!
3. I love love love my new windows. On Saturday I went to Lowe's and I got new room darkening blinds and matchstick bamboo blinds. I'm not sure if I like them yet or not. They are different. I think I need to work on the rest of the room.
4. Jeremiah went to his first birthday party on Saturday. It was at a karate place. I didn't want to leave him there by himself and I actually asked the birthday boy's mother like six times if she needed any other adults to supervise. Each of the six times I asked her, she told me "no". So I left him. I was sad, but then Corynne started throwing a fit because she wanted to stay, so that definitely took my mind of Miah! He was fine and he had a blast!
5. We picked our vacation house. We are going to North Carolina in July. We are staying in South Nags Head. That is much further South than we usually stay, but we thought we'd try something new. We usually stay up near Corolla, but so does everyone else. Traffic is ridiculous and there are way too many people up there. The house is nice and it has a pool--so we're hoping we can get Jeremiah to learn how to swim this year.
6. The Steelers picked their new coach. I thought once that happened, we could watch some more news worthy stories on the news. I was wrong. Now we get to hear every single detail about the new coach--where he went to high school and college, how many tackles he had in college, his coaching record at the Vikings, his wife's first name, his kids' ages, who he will have as his coaches, which of Cowher's coaches he'll keep on, what he plans to do, how old he is...etc...etc...etc.. AHHHH~ give me a break!!
7. Jordan had his football banquet Saturday night. He got recognized for having a g.p.a. between 3.6-3.8 and he also lettered this year. He got his letterman's jacket. It is really nice. I told him that I better not ever in this lifetime see a girl wearing his letterman's jacket. He worked too hard to be letting some dumb girl wear that!
(By the way, I just got Cory's letterman's jacket from his mom's house a few weeks ago. I was going to start wearing it on Tiger Friday's at my school. It is a bit dirty, so I haven't worn it yet. But you should have seen Cory's face when I said I wanted to wear it--I was like.."Hey, we've been together for 16 years, married for 10, I'm the mother of your children, I think I can wear your letterman's jacket!)

While smiling sweetly ,tell The Woman (?....see I'm being nice)....."Jordan was 6 years premature, he was a very large and mature child when you were blessed with his addition.....if thats not enough for her. Mention that Jordan is your third child (not really a lie if you smile...Politicians do it all the time)....but you don't hear from the first two now that they're retired......If that doesn't work quickly change the subject to the womans obvious weight problem.
LOL Unka mike!!
In response to the first question, say "I was young then but now I am old enough to know better than to answer THAT question." Works for me.
Thanks Unka Mike!! (You are much more "nice" than I am!! :)
