1. Why does gas cost so much?

2. Grammie's back is all out of whack. She's been in pain since Wednesday and didn't want to go to the doctor. She finally went today. The doctor gave her steriods, pain pills and muscle relaxers! Hopefully she feels better. She hasn't slept in a long time, so I am hoping with all these sleep aids, she will get some much needed rest.

3. The hunters return tomorrow evening. No news of deer yet.

4. Nyquil cough medicine relieves my cough so that I can sleep, but it gives me a migraine in the morning. Catch 22!

5. I am reading Maniac Magee with my sixth graders. That is my favorite kid book.

6. Uncle Matt gave my kids ringworm. He swears he didn't do it, but I think he is the culprit. He got ringworm from a coworker of his. Isaiah got it on is scalp. Isaiah has to take an antifungal medicine for six weeks. Even though I was so careful with not sharing combs or towels or pillow cases, Corynne caught it on her scalp. She is not on the antifungal medicine for six weeks also. She also got a patch on her leg. I googled "ringworm" and hit "images" to make sure that was what she had on her leg. I was so grossed out to see some of those pictures. The people on the internet let it go way too long without treatment and their ringworm was way out of control. It made my stomach hurt.

7. The adjuster finally came to look at my truck. It has been 12 days since I talked to the insurance agent. Ridiculous! I am still driving the Pacifica. I am not complaining because we don't have to pay for it and all of my kids can fit safely in it.

8. I can't wait till my truck is fixed. I miss driving my big ol' truck.

9. We put up our Christmas decorations. Buppy had given my kids this singing Christmas tree last year. As soon as you walk by the tree, the tree opens his eyes and sings "We wish you a merry Christmas" super super super loud! There is no volume button on it. I thought about not putting it out this year, but I know Buppy would not like that, so I did. Thank God it has an on and off switch!

10. Christmas is coming soon. I am not shopping until December 15. And I don't care how many of my ultra-organized teacher friends tell me that they are all done shopping. I have to stick to my plan.

" 1. Why does gas cost so much? "...Jess, have your dad explain this enigma in one of his blogs. Then I'll tell you the rest of the story... (hint: it doesn't have anything to do with supply of sweet crude)....

I really don't want the "intelligent" answer that he will give me. I just want the prices to go DOWN!

So just go head and tell me your story.

I love Maniac Magee almost as much as I love Nyquil. I've had one cold since I've been pregnant and I missed NyQuil so much. I'm glad it doesn't give me a headache! Ya know Nyquil does have a little alcohol in it. Are you getting a hangover from a shot of Nyquil? ;)

Hope you, your mom, and the kids are all better soon. Relax and take care of yourself. You too, Toni!

well Jamie, since I don't drink at all, that could be possible. :-)

I missed Nyquil when I was pregnant too. You can take tylenol products but it is not the same!

Concerning gas prices... we are paying 1.06 per LITRE, So don't complain. Trying filling a van at that price.
Just to add insult to injury... I AM FINISHED CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AND IT ISN'T EVEN DECEMBER YET. I feel so good. I am ready, bring it on.
