Two days back to work and I have one word to describe it: EXHAUSTING! I don't mean to complain--especially to my blog reading audience who mostly work throughout the entire year--but going back to teaching is tough after being on vacation for three months. It is not just me going back to work--but getting the kids ready for school each evening and morning is tiring too. I am sure in a few weeks I will be back in the swing of things. It is just really tough getting motivated this year. After that year last year and the busy summer I had, I am just really having a tough time. But I will pray and ask the Lord for strength as I always do and He will give it to me--as He always does.
We went down to W&J to visit Jordan on Sunday. They had an inter-squad scrimmage and family picnic. He got to play quite a bit and as far as I could tell, he looked pretty good. The head coach came up to us after the game and told us how well Jordan was doing. That was very good to hear. After Jordan showered, we ditched the family picnic and opted for dinner at Cracker Barrell. Cory must be rubbing off on my mother because the two of them were leary about eating the food at the picnic. It was a covered dish dinner and they didn't want to eat the food because they didn't know WHO made each dish. Cracker Barrell was very yummy.
We stopped back at Jordan's dorm to switch out his refridgerator. I was very happy to see that his room was not that messy. He had a few things on the floor, but for the most part--it wasn't too bad. It smelled like a boys' room but I guess that is to be expected. I cleaned up a little bit because I guess I have problems. I couldn't help it.
Jordan has orientation all weekend and he starts classes on Monday. His email is hauserjp@washjeff.edu if you would like to email him. I am sure he would love to hear from you.

I agree with Cory. I hate to eat foods at picnics if strangers made it. I'm fine with picnic food if I know who made it, but random food. No way.
Second, boys dorms always smell. It's a fact of life. My freshman year of college I was in a co-ed dorm. My wing was girls and the rest of the dorm was boys. As soon as you hit the boys' section, you could detect the stench of dirty socks, old pizza and who knows what else.
