I made it through the week...Yeah!! Sometimes I feel like a babysitter or a zoo keeper rather than a Reading teacher!

We are finishing my favorite 6th grade book and the kids love it. So that has helped get us through this crazy holiday time. Middle school has enough drama on its own...but you add in holiday excitment and you get a crazy atmosphere!

Cory and I are shopping this weekend. I love our Christmas shopping weekends. I am so glad we started this tradition. It is fun so it takes all the stress out of shopping. We make a good team.

Jordan is home! I am so happy! The kids are ecstatic! We had a family dinner/family meeting last night. Cory welcomed Jordan home and then laid down the house rules. He had a list and everything. It was really good...but Jeremiah and Corynne got a bad case of the giggles...so it was hard to be serious. When they get the giggles, it makes me laugh. When I have to laugh, I have to laugh. I can't keep a straight face. Well then Isaiah and Jordan started laughing at me. Poor Cory. But the point got across and the rules were laid down, which is the important thing.

Jordan brought home the biggest garbage bag I have ever seen full of dirty clothes. I washed his comforter as soon as he walked in the door. He is going to the doctor today for his ringworm. (I will tell him what you said Aunt Footie) I guess I will have to get my bleach out! When ringworm was rampant in my house last year, one doctor told me to dilute bleach with water and put it in a spray bottle and spray the bathroom a few times a day because ring worm likes to live on moist surfaces. The dermatologist, however, insists that ring worm is not contagious and spraying the bathroom with bleach is unnecessary. I do realize that this dermatologist has numerous years of experience dealing with skin issues under his belt. I also understand that this doctor has gone to college, medical school and graduate school. And finally, I do realize that this doctor holds many degrees relating to skin problems.... BUT...#1 if ring worm is not contagious, then how did Jordan get it in the first place? And if its not contagious, then how did Isaiah and Corynne get it after Jordan got it? And #2...spraying bleach on surfaces makes me feel like I am killing the fungus. Killing germs makes me happy.

Killing germs makes me happy too! I would be bleaching everything, regardless of what the doctor said. When Matt had ringworm I think the only reason I didn't get it was because I use Clorox on everything and wash my hands like 25 times a day.

We use bleach in our dental clinic and in the nursing labs; left on a surface for 3 minutes kills anything hanging around. But I found reusing a towel that has not dried between uses foster fungal growth...that could be a start, because knowing how guys are, they do not hang a towel to dry, just throw it in a corner and use it over and over, spreading fungus over their wet body. Give those tips a try. Love ya.
