Check out my girl's eye and nose. She fell off the drum stool in the basement. It looks a little worse in person. And...I fell really bad about this one...
Cory noticed that Corynne's big toe was a little bit red. So the other day when I was leaving for work, he told me that he wanted to take her to the doctors to get her toe checked. Turns out she has some kind of "strep" infection on her toe. They gave her Augmentum for it. I feel so bad because I didn't even notice it! I give her a bath every night and I didn't notice it. She's had three doses of the antibiotic and it already looks a little bit better. She isn't complaining about it, although she had been pretty fussy over the weekend. I called the doctor back so they could try and explain to me how you get "strep" on your toe. Well, the nurse attempted to explain it, but it is still not very clear to me. If anyone has heard of this, please feel free to comment.
She doesn't like to take that antibiotic, but my friend Stefanie had a really neat trick to get her to take it. You put the antibiotic in a little bit of white grape juice. The white grape juice takes some of the nastiness out of the medicine. Since Corynne hates to take medicine, this helped a lot with her.

poor baby , maybe the infection is alittle like cellutitis which you get from the bacteria on the skin which enter a tiny cut and goes to the blood stream. as long as the medicine clears it up.she will be fine. jess you are a busy mom and do it well that is why you two are good together because he helps with the children.good job cory.
You know, that sounds kind of like what that nurse was trying to tell me. Thanks and thanks for the compliment.
FIRST OF ALL...why was my girl on the drum stool??????!!!!!!! She is destined to be a gymnist-she is forever climbing on something :-)
Her toe will be fine Jess, don't be so hard on yourself (isn't that what you always tell me!) You are a wonerful mother :-)
I love that we have friends here at work to give us advice and Stef ALWAYS gives good advice!
I think all you guys should get together and write a book with all your "words of wisdom" for motherhood. I am serious. It would be a best seller!
Chapter Titles could include: What to do when your daughter eats play dough or falls off a drum stool... (now i am kidding!)
How's come Cory gets all the compliments. I deserve some for the fine job I do carving and painting figurines for cakes. Just teasing of course. I'm very proud of the way my daughter and son-in-law take care of their kids. More people should be like them.
Now Fran we are always proud of you. technolgy is wonderful but it is pretty pitiful that we have to talk thru jessie's blog.
Technology is wonderful, and it is pitiful that we comunicate through Jessie's blog. But I see more of her kids on this blog than I do in person. We all have busy lives so if we do communicate through a blog, at least we are communicating. And we get to see recent pictures of her beautiful children. Don't get me wrong I would much rather see everyone in person, but I'll take what I can get.
