I cannot believe that Beaver Falls lost last night. For those of you who don't know, our highschool basketball team is the defending W.P.I.A.L. and the P.I.A.A. champs from 2005! This year they didn't even make it to the final WPIAL game for Saturday. Well, I guess that frees up my weekend some. Isaiah has all star games all weekend and I was trying to get to his games as well as Beaver Falls' game. Beaver Falls was going to play at the Peterson Events Center--which is Pitt's gym. Pitt's games have been sold out forever, so I thought it would be great to get to see what that gym looked like. Oh well... Beaver Falls is still in the States running and they will start their games soon. I love watching them play because I had all those boys when they were in sixth grade. It is amazing to see how they have grown up!

Cory is so sick. I think he caught my strep throat. He is going to the doctors this morning. His throat is so sore. He came home from work this morning and said that advil won't help it anymore.

Cory and Jordan are going to the Men's Retreat this weekend. Every year, our church has a Women's Retreat and a Men's Retreat. They are held at Lutherlyn Campgrounds in Butler. The campgrounds are absolutely beautiful. We usually go in October so it is so nice with the leaves changing. The Men always go in the dead of winter. It is always a wonderful time. The men will go up Friday and meet us at church Sunday morning. Jordan is so excited to go. I am praying that Cory feels better so that he enjoys himself.

Bup is in Alabama again. He comes home on Saturday and then a week later he will be leaving for Durbin, South Africa. Personally, I am praying that that trip gets cancelled. I hate when he has to travel that far. I get very worried. But I tried to "cancel" his trip to South America by praying. It didn't work because I realized how much the chemical plant down in South America needed his expertise. I was praying selfishly--just because I didn't want him traveling that far. But he went down there, fixed all their problems, taught them how to do everything the right way, and saved his company billions of dollars. I am sure the people that work down there were very appreciative of his help. So I am hoping and praying that his trip to South Africa is cancelled, but I will understand if he has to go. Just pray with me that he is safe on the way there and while he is there!

I had to laugh at the comments about how we keep in touch through my blog. I am just glad that it is a way that we can keep touch one way or another. So I'll keep blogging and you all keep commenting.

Hope Cory feels better and I'll definitely pray that your Dad's trip gets cancelled. I'm selfish like that too.

Feel better Cory :-) Jess, you better take good care of him, he deserves it! Do you feel like our families have been sick forever?!

I'll be praying for you dad too, the power of prayer is an amazing thing..but if God needs him there that is what will be, so we will pray for him to have a safe and productive trip :-) I'm sure even God understands us being selfish sometimes:-)
