Cory passed his scuba diving classes. He is now a certified scuba diver! The people at the scuba diving place keep asking me when I am going to come and get certified. That would be "never". I have no desire to do that. I am very proud of Cory though. He really wanted to do it and he did. So now I will be a nervous wreck down in Jamaica when he goes scuba diving! :-)
I am a little bit upset with myself. I didn't get my boys' hair cut before their school pictures. With boys, nothing else really matters when it comes to school pictures. It doesn't matter what kind of clothes they wear, what color clothes they wear, who the photographer is or what color background there is. All that matters is whether or not they have a nice haircut. I usually am on the ball with that and I make sure they all have nice haircuts. But this year, I didn't. So the pictures aren't as nice as they could be. They are my babies, so of course I think they are adorable. (even my big baby-Jordan!)
Lifetouch studios does all the pictures for school. But for Jeremiah's school they do something different. They take the pictures and actually send them all to you and then you have to pick which ones you want and send the rest back. They are outrageously expensive. The pricing goes by sheets--each sheet is over $12--but they more you buy, the better deal you get. It irriates me though because Jordan and Isaiah also use Lifetouch at their school and you can get a whole package for $20. The thing is, Lifetouch thinks they are slick. They would never make as much money if they did public schools the way they do Jeremiah's school. Usually I end up buying all the pictures because like I said, the more you buy, the better deal you get. But not this year. I am irritated, so I scanned some of the pictures on my computer and printed them on Kodak paper. Not that I am teaching Lifetouch a lesson or anything like that, but I did save some money.
My ducts are clean. The guy even sprayed some mold and mildew disenfectant down the ducts. That is right up my alley! I love things that kill germs!
My mom misses the kids. She will be back on Saturday. She is exhausted from all the driving down there. But they are so happy to be with Aunt Nor. By the way, she is doing very good--they are going to keep her in rehab for a few more months though just to make sure they are giving her the best care possible.
Jordan has a game tonight at Monaca. That is Rochester's big rival because they play for the naming of the bridge that goes between Monaca and Rochester. Monaca is pretty good this year so this game will also determine who wins the conference. Since the weather is going to be so nasty, I am thinking about finding a babysitter for Corynne and Jeremiah. We'll see how that goes...
Happy Friday!
