Getting ready for a week long vacation is a very big job. I am so exhausted just from getting the house ready and the kids ready and me and cory ready to leave. I didn't focus too much on the house because Jordan will be there all week. Normally, I clean the house from top to bottom so that it is clean when come home. But since Jordan will be there all week messing it up anyway, there was really no point in killing myself. I did clean up a little bit, but not like I usually do.
I baked 6 batches of cookies for the road and for the vacation house. I promised my Grandmother I would make the cookies if she promised she wouldn't tired herself out by making them. She broke her promise though! My uncle text me the other day and told me that she made him some pineapple cookies just for him. She doesn't know it yet, but she is in big trouble. lol
We made it to Fredricksburg, Virginia today. We are staying one night here and then finishing the trip tomorrow to the Outer Banks. We saw an accident actually happen today on the highway. It was terrible. A car must have gotten clipped because he flew from the left lane all the way to the brim of the road and smacked into the guard rail. His whole bumper fell off and he spun a few times. It was horrible. The people seemed like they were okay. Other cars stopped to check on them, so we didn't. People were driving so crazy today. I am so thankful we got here safely. Matt and Kristen and Avery are here also and they are safe, so I am very grateful for that.
Tomorrow, we plan on working out first thing in the morning. Cory is doing so good. He has lost almost 20 pounds. I am so proud of him. After a morning workout, we will go to breakfast and maybe sight see a little bit in Fredricksburg. There is a slave auction block in downtown that I want to show the kids. There is so much I take for granted that they know and they don't.
After that, we are going to make our way to North Carolina. I am praying for good weather this week. Please pray with us!
