Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter. We went to church this morning. The three little ones did their speeches at church. Even Corynne! Nobody could understand what she said, but she is not shy one bit. Jordan and the older kids put on a play which was very good. After service, we came home and did our Easter egg hunt. I ended up doing a scavenger hunt! This year I made an Easter picture for each kid. Then I wrote a clue on the back of the picture. I then cut the picture into eight pieces and put each piece in an egg. The kids had to find their eight eggs, put together their puzzles and then follow the clue to find their baskets. It was a lot of fun.

After the hunt, we tried to take a nap. The only one who got to sleep was Cory! But that is okay because he worked midnight last night.

We then went over my mom's house. She made a very delicious dinner. Nunny, Rachel, Aunt Monica, Uncle Phullie and Tony came out for dessert. It was so nice just sitting around and talking. My mom made four different desserts--English Triffel, Texas Brownies, Lime/Almond Cheese-cake, and Pudding Sundaes for the kids. Everything was so good.

My mom makes dinner for the policemen in New Brighton every holiday that Matt works. I think that is so nice of her to do that. Tonight, Cory and I took the food over to them. There were four cops there--Matt, a nice one, and two mean ones. I told them all that they better write my mom a thank you card for making them dinner. The mean cops just looked at me, but the nice cop said he definately would. Cory told me to quit joking with them because they had guns. Matt gave us the grand tour and tried to show us the holding cells. But I have issues with jail, so I couldn't walk back into where the cells were. Cory thought it was neat.

We had a very nice day. It is always such a blessing to get to spend the day with your family!
