Father's Day

We had a nice Father's Day. Cory had to work until 6 PM, so the kids and I went to church. After church, I made Corynne and Jordan take a nap, Isaiah and Jeremiah just rested and watch cartoons. Then we went over my mom's for dinner. My dad cooked steak and fried shrimp. Everything was so good. Cory was so happy to get his steak!!

We got my dad an MP3 player for Father's Day. He and Jordan worked on dowloading his cds most of the night. My dad is so hard to buy for, but I think we scored big with this gift. With all of his traveling, we thought this would be nice for the plane. He just got home on Friday. He is leaving Tuesday evening for the annual canoe trip with his buddy Bob. I still can't understand how they call that fun! But whatever! Then I think he'll be home for a week and then he's going to Dallas for three days. Then he'll be home a week and then he and my mom are going to Birmingham together. I'm so excited that she is going with him. That should be a lot of fun.

But getting back to the MP3 player... those are the neatest things in the world! Jordan has had one for a while. But I hate his music. He listens to all gospel, like I do--but it is gospel rap and it sounds like the stuff I used to listen to in my younger days when I wasn't too good! (smile) So anyway... Cory bought one before he went on his golfing trip and he put music on it that I like. So I take it running with me all the time. It is so neat--It is very small--It clips right onto your shorts/pants--You can see the name of each song that comes up--It is very loud so you can't hear other noise--It holds like 240 songs! (Maybe I should sell these!) Anyway... I really like it. So hopefully Bup will like his too!

My boys spent the night at Grammie's house. I'm sure that wasn't exactly what Grammie had in mind, but Bup persuaded us all to let them stay. It has been a calm morning. Corynne is a whole different person when she is by herself. She even slept in a bit today.

I have a busy week. I really want to clean the kids' playroom and my office. Both are HUGE jobs. So much to do and yet I sit here blogging! I better get to it!

You wouldn't believe how many times I've asked my mom for an MP3 player! Could you get me one for my birthday or Christmas?

Uncle Mike, I am getting old. I'm realizing that more and more everyday. It is a little scary! What am I going to be like when Corynne turns 16?!
