This is Isaiah making a catch. He started basketball camp today. I dropped him off this morning. I went into the gym with him because this was the first day. I got a little nervous because he was the smallest kid there. He came home all smiles though. He won a balancing game so they gave him a LeBron James sweat band. And they also gave him the "Hustler of the Day" award. He was so excited. He was a little bit mad though because his teammates never passed him the ball. ;)
Bible School was great again tonight--except that I had a very very not well behaved little boy. I don't like to say "bad". But he was quite challenging. We threatened him quite a few times that if he didn't follow my rules, he have to go sit with the men. We introduced him to them which straightened him up a little bit. Tomorrow we are playing three strikes and you're out! Three times he breaks my rules and he is going to be hanging with the men. I love Bible School and Sunday school but I could not teach that age group for a living. ( I have ages 6 and 7) Everyone says that middle school would be tough, but believe me, it is nothing comapared to second graders! I had another little boy who kept hugging me and calling me "Mommy". That broke my heart a little bit. We'll see how tomorrow goes. My little hugger's name is Amadjai. See if you can pronounce that one!

Jessie,
Most of the people we see in our clinic are Arab descent and I could pronounce almost ANY Arab name. His name looks like it is pronounced
Aw-maud-jie(like pie) Have fun!

I think it would be so much fun to teach that age group! You're such a good teacher Jess I'm sure it doesn't matter what age the students are :-)

Just call him James...that'll remind you where you could be (ha-ha)

Good point Steph! (James) But my littler hugger is so dirty. I think he literally rolls around in a dirt pile and then comes to bible school. We give them baby wipes to wipe their hands off before they eat their snack. Well his hands were so dirty that we had to send him to the bathroom to use soap and water. Unbelievable. He was so good tonight thoug--he still calls me mommy!

I was already jealous of the LeBron jersey and now I'm jealous of the sweatband. Way to go Isaiah!

I commend you for working with that age group. Kindergarten through second graders kinda freak me out. They say such odd, random things. I don't understand why a kid I don't even know would tap me on the arm and tell me his aunt works at Walmart or that he likes to eat tomatoes. ;)

Jamie, you are a riot. That is exactly how it has been all week long. I was teaching them about Lazarus rising from the dead tonight and one little boy wanted to show me all these cuts and bruises on his body---Absolutley nothing whatsoever to do with Lazarus!
