Well I am back to work. It wasn't too bad today. My day started with a note from one of my student's parents. Seems that the little darling hurt her foot somehow over break and she had to get some stitches. Her mother wanted to make sure that no one stepped on her during the day and she wanted her to leave a few minutes early from each class. Now number 1--I see this girl for a total of 42 minutes each day. Number 2--I can't babysit her foot all day and Number 3--this is middle school--do you know how often my foot gets stepped on through the course of the day? Kids are always stepping on me, bumping into me, and touching me. So I tell her "Okay, go sit down." That is the best teacher line. So I start class--would you believe that not even 8 minutes into class, my girl starts asking me if it is time for her to leave. I thought she was joking. I was like, "You just sat down 8 minutes ago. I haven't even gotten into the lesson yet." So she continues to ask me every 5 minutes if it was time for her to leave. I try to be extra patient on the first day of the school week, but this was quite ridiculous. So I told her not to ask me again and that I would let her know when to go. Guess what?! The bell rang and I forgot to let her go!!
Corynne is coughing really bad. She woke up around 4:30 am. So I got up and held her until it was time to go to work. I really didn't mind because I knew I was really going to miss her today.
Jeremiah starts swimming lessons on Saturday. He graduated from his fi
rst class and now he is in his second class. They call it the Eel class. Isaiah is playing basketball and Jordan is his coach. They run a 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade intramural league at the school. The parents get absolutely CRAZY! So I will have to go to all the games to watch Isaiah and to protect Jordan. Isaiah is so funny. He has to match all his clothes for basketball--from his headbands down to his shoes. It is crazy. When I played we didn't care about all that stuff and we were girls. (My mom is going to add a comment and tell me that I'm wrong and that I really did care what I looked like.)
(Lebron is Isaiah's favorite player--that is why I had to put his picture on here.)

I had a similar experience today. A kid asked me about 8 times before 9:30 to get homework ready for the week for his neighbor who has the chicken pox. I told him, politely, to sit down and stop asking. I forgot. The homework sheet was still on my desk at the end of the day, half filled out. Oh well.
Nice job on the clipart!
Thanks...It was so easy. I did exactly what you said. I think I a ready to add links. You'll have to tell me.
JESS I beg to differ with you but we all remeber the big hair that did not move when you ran down the court. Give the kid a break.
Yeah, you are right. I forgot about that. We used so much hairspray it's a wonder we can breathe today!
